Federal Bank enlists Infosys for Oracle CX implementation

Federal Bank has expanded its strategic collaboration with Oracle and Infosys, to offer an enhanced customer experience through Oracle CX (Customer Experience) platform.

The collaboration will focus on creating a comprehensive integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution across marketing, sales, customer service, and social listening to strengthen Federal Bank’s operations, and to deliver connected, data-driven, and intelligent customer experiences across all touchpoints.

Federal Bank will launch a 360-degree view of the customer portfolio in a single application for its users, to achieve a ‘Single Source of Truth’.

SCO Agreement On Mass Media Cooperation Gets India’s Retrospective Nod

“The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its ex post facto approval for signing and ratifying an agreement on cooperation in the field of mass media between all member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The agreement aims to promote equal and mutually beneficial cooperation among associations in the field of mass media. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organization, the creation of which was announced on June 15, 2001, in Shanghai.

Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) comprises eight countries: India, Kazakhstan, China, the Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

IPPB ties up with Mahindra Rural Housing Finance for cash management solution

Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Ltd’s subsidiary Mahindra Rural Housing Finance Limited (MRHFL) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) have tied up a strategic partnership for a cash management solution.

As part of the partnership, IPPB will be offering cash management and collection services to MRHFL through its access points and postal service providers.

Mahindra Rural Housing Finance said in a statement, that with the cash management service, its customers will be able to repay their monthly or quarterly loan instalments at over 1.36 lakh post offices.

 Bharti AXA Life in bancassurance pact with Shivalik Small Finance Bank

Bharti AXA Life Insurance has entered into a bancassurance partnership with Shivalik Small Finance Bank for the distribution of its life insurance products through the bank’s pan-India network of branches.

This alliance is a part of the bank’s one of various measures towards financial inclusion and acceleration of wealth creation for its customers.

Bharti AXA Life Insurance will offer its various life insurance products, including protection, health, savings, and investment plans, to customers of Shivalik Small Finance Bank across its 31 branches and digital network across the country.

The agreement will enable over 4.5 lakh customers of Shivalik Bank to access the range of products offered by the company to provide financial security.

ADB and India signed an agreement for road up-gradation project in Sikkim

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India signed an agreement for financing road-up-gradation projects in Sikkim. PRF (Project readiness financing) will help in connecting major roads with the national and state highway network.

ADB will give a $2.5 million project readiness financing (PRF) loan to support projects related to the renovation of major district roads in Sikkim. Improving road conditions will improve connectivity and also boost the economic activities in the state.

CBSE to introduce coding, data science in the curriculum

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has collaborated with Microsoft to introduce Coding as a new subject for students of Class 6-8 and Data Science as the new subject for Class 8-12 in the 2021-2022 academic session.

Both these new skilling subjects are being launched in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Coding and Data Science Curriculum are important steps to enable self-reliance in our students and equip them with skills like problem-solving, logical thinking, collaboration, and design thinking that are critical for success.
