This age limit is for people belonging to unreserved/general category:

  • Citizenship:

The candidates applying for the exam should fulfil these criteria:

  1. Citizenship of India
  2. Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan Refugee who arrived before January 1, 1962
  4. A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India

All candidates who are not Indian citizens have to provide a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India before their appointment.

  • Educational Qualification for IBPS Clerk :

Candidates must be graduated in any discipline from a recognised university.

IBPS Clerk Pre-Exam Training

As per the IBPS official notification, the Pre-Exam Training for 2020 recruitment will only be conducted if it is safe and feasible as per the current situation. 

Participating Organisations (Banks) may arrange Pre-Examination Training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Minority Communities, Ex-Servicemen, Persons With Benchmark Disabilities at certain centres viz.

Centres of pre-exam training are Agartala, Agra, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Balasore, Bareilly, Behrampur (Ganjam), Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, etc.

While training will be imparted free of cost, all other expenses regarding travelling, boarding, lodging etc. will have to be borne by the candidate for attending the pre-examination training programme at the designated Centres.

Both the IBPS Clerk exams are conducted in both the languages (English and Hindi) except for the parts which test the candidate English language ability.

There is a penalty for the incorrect answers. Each wrong answer deducts ¼ of the marks allotted to that question.
